The Tate Learning Center Day Program is a Special Education Day School providing state-of-the-art, progressive ABA and language-based programming for students ages 3 to 22 who are needing to make significant behavioral progress. Tate employees receive high levels of clinical supervision and professional development. We are seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and experienced ABA therapists willing to complete RBT training and maintain RBT certification to work as Learning Coaches with our elementary, middle, high school, and young adult students with Autism and other developmental, cognitive, and/or behavioral challenges. The Learning Coach position provides 1:1 direct ABA programming and support to school students to fulfill their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Behavior Support Plan. Learning Coaches guide students through their daily schedules, deliver individualized instruction including structured and naturalized teaching, facilitate social interactions, and ensure student safety and engagement. Learning Coaches are directly supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and/or Special Education Teachers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with relevant experience and/or a high school diploma or associates degree with extensive experience Specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis and/or Special Education (3-5 years) Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are strongly encouraged to apply. Essential Functions: Provide safety, academic, vocational, leisure, social skills, and hygiene instruction and support to students. Follow all behavioral and instructional procedures as written by the clinical supervisor and special education teacher. Assist students in following their daily schedules. Set up, organize, and complete daily data sheets, communication logs, and other required paperwork. Collect data thoroughly, accurately, and legibly as specified for each student. Maintain fluency in the SUPPORT (de-escalation and physical management) curriculum and implement preventative and responsive safety techniques according to the training provided, always using the least intrusive means to be effective. Treat all students, family members, and coworkers with respect and dignity. Maintain the confidentiality of all students. Additional duties Attend all staff meetings Complete online and in-person professional development trainings as assigned. Read all student IEPs, Behavior Support plans, and teaching procedures. Engage in proactive solution-oriented communication with all supervisors and team members.
